Java Sarit K.
Sarit Kanchanawatchara, aka “Java Sarit K.”
Java grew up in a middle-class family in Nonthaburi, Thailand, surrounded by music and early digital technology from a young age. What began as a fascination with creating things on computers, DSLR cameras, and camcorders gradually became a way for him to express himself.
At thirteen, after discovering his struggles with OCD and depression, filmmaking and music became a way for Java to process what he could not always put into words. In the solitude of those years, films and music became more than things he enjoyed—they became a way out, and eventually, a way to understand himself and the world around him.
Today, Java works primarily as a director and screenwriter, drawn to stories that explore human behavior, inner conflict, and the quiet moments when people are forced to confront themselves.
